The Bull Brand guide to
Over the last few years here at Bull Brand we've watched the explosion of E-Liquids. They are becoming increasingly popular but why are people choosing to vape? For a start many smokers are turning to vaping as an alternative to tobacco smoking; the health benefits from the switch have been well documented in the media. Additionally E-Liquids still allow smokers to enjoy the past time without the negative effects of traditional smoking. However vaping is not limited to smokers, some vapers find it a relaxing and a social activity. Whatever your reason for vaping we've created a guide for you to help you get started.
Whether as a healthier alternative to tobacco smoking or as a tool to help you quit there are various reasons to switch to vaping. Lets look at the science, firstly by vaping you're not inhaling lots of toxins which have been ignited. We all know cigarette (tobacco) smoking isn't the best thing for you. Vaping replicates the smoking experience but without the negative health effects. Bull Brand E-Liquids contain propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin which are considerably better to inhale than tobacco smoke. As a final point and quite an important one, your wallet will be a lot fatter if you vape. Everyone knows the sky high duty applied to cigarettes and tobacco is hitting smokers hard. However E-Liquids and the tools required to vape are much much cheaper in comparison; by switching to vaping you'll soon realise that you've got a lot more spare cash too. So what's not to like?
E-Liquids are quite simple really, it is basically the carrier that delivers the nicotine. However producers couple this with a host of food flavourings to make the vapour taste good. There are varying strengths of E-Liquid, by this we refer to the nicotine content. Manufacturers generally produce the following strengths: 0mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg, in-fact 20mg is the strongest concentration legally allowed. Obviously 0mg contains no nicotine, whilst 18mg is a high concentration (an E-Liquid probably only viable for heavy cigarette smokers). Most smokers will usually vape a 6mg or 12mg liquid, we would always recommend speaking to an expert before purchasing. The actual liquid is made up of Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) which are classed as food items/ ingredients. By varying the ratio of these liquids you can create different performing E-Liquids. PG carries a flavour whilst VG creates a bigger vape cloud - producers therefore vary these to create bespoke E-Liquids. By adding in flavours and the required nicotine dosage you are left with an E-Liquid.
What do I need to start
Firstly you need to decide you want to start vaping. We'd alway advise those that don't smoke not to take up vaping. Remember nicotine is an addictive substance. If you're using vaping to help you quit or as an alternative to smoking then it's really simple. All you really need is a pipe and some E-Liquid. The secret with an E-Liquid is to chose a suitable strength and a flavour you like. The range of flavours is mind boggling, from fruit flavours to tobacco there are more flavours than you can shake a stick at. The average smoker will probably need a 3-12mg E-Liquid. Remember if you're trying to cut down or stop all together then you can gradually work down the strength levels. Finally the pipe, the range of pipes can be confusing. So keep reading for more information.
Pipes come in all shapes and sizes; they are broadly made up of 3 components: the device (large box or pen shaped item), battery and the atomiser. We all know what a battery does, whilst the device delivers the power from the battery to the atomiser. The atomiser takes the power of the device to make the E-Liquid turn to vapour. There's many different pipes and we'd recommend speaking to an expert when selecting one.
